Last Thursday and Friday, we hosted a radiothon to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We also had LOTS of volunteers here helping answer phones, add up partners in hope, and even former patients and St. Jude families who talked on-air about their experiences. We want to extend a big thank you to all our food partners! And, we hope that you'll support these fine establishments by dining at them!

My favorite part of the Penn Station sandwich is the bread! Chewy, soft French bread with fresh veggies, meats, and cheeses makes for the perfect lunch or dinner. With locations on Evansville's west and east sides and even in Newburgh, you'll find one close to you!

When I saw the St. Jude rep eating Grandy's buttermilk biscuits and gravy I seriously thought about tackling her and taking her food. Luckily, there was an extra B+G that intervened just as I was about to pounce. I'm so glad they delivered Grandy's breakfast because I was HANGRY! And, you can't go wrong with a Grandy's meal! You'll find a newly remodeled location on Evansville's First Ave. or in Owensboro off Frederica St.

I'm always happy when we have BBQ for lunch but even happier when it's Hawg N Sauce! The locally owned and operated eatery makes it's signature pulled pork with their sweet sauce. We also had creamy potato salad and baked beans - which are made with mixed beans for a more complex flavor. Hawg N Sauce is only a short drive to Mt. Vernon, IN.

Spice Cafe on Evansville's east side helped us celebrate our big check reveal on Friday night with some authentic Creole, Caribbean, Cuban food! If you've never been to Spice, you need to do yourself a huge favor and get over there today! It's one of my family's favorites and we go there every chance we get. Check them out off Morgan Ave. in front of the YMCA/Lowes on Logan Ave.

A much different type of BBQ is Korean BBQ! It's equally as delicious and also locally owned and operated. Fun fact, when there are leftover rice noodles, I eat them for breakfast. Because... they are delicious!

We might have fought over the Denny's breakfast that showed up on Friday morning; I'm not even gonna lie. Delicious eggs, fluffy pancakes, and waffles, bacon... and my FAVORITE - the French toast. It was sprinkled with powdered sugar and a touch of Heaven. It made getting to work at 6:30 so so worth it. You'll find Denny's locations all over the tri-state!
