    Vanderburgh Humane Society- Cardio For Canines

    Come walk or run with a shelter dog at every Saturday at 8:00 am.  Meet in the VHS rear lobby to pick up a dog and then head to Garvin Park. Participants actually walking the dogs must be 18+, but children & strollers are welcome to tag along.

    25th Reitz Home Mystery: Murder on Main Street

    Saturday Aug 19, 6 PM - 10 PM

    Price: $75 per person plus cash for cash bar

    In 1907, the body of 38-year old Josie Grey was found beaten to death in the safe at R&G Furniture on Main Street, where she worked as a bookkeeper. An unsolved crime in Evansville to this day, Murder on Main Street has an astonishing surprising but true ending involving a note found in a bottle in Utah's Great Salt Lake.

    Join us for our 25th Reitz Home Mystery: Murder on Main Street, written and directed by Kelley Coures.

    Summer Family Fun Night at CMOE!

    Price: This is a FREE event only for families and caregivers affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome.

    Please bring the whole family and join us for this private event given by Autism Evansville at the Children's Museum of Evansville (CMOE). We will have 2 and a half hours and 3 floors of FUN! Register with us at the door and enjoy all the amenities the museum has to offer free of charge. Visit CMOE's website at http://www.cmoekids.org/ so you'll know what to expect.     One of SW Indiana’s most established and significant cultural institutions, the Evansville Museum is a general museum with comprehensive collections in art, history, anthropology and science, as well as an immersive planetarium theater and Transportation Center.

    And throughout the month of August, view the interactive Solar Eclipse exhibit.

    This exhibition is made possible with a generous grant from the Bower-Suhrheinrich FoundationEclipse 2017: The Exhibition, an exhibit in the Evansville Visitor and Convention Bureau Center for History and Science open until September 30, 2017. A unique science exhibition which should be of interest to anyone wanting to learn more about and details on viewing one of nature’s most spectacular astronomical events: a Total Solar Eclipse!
    This informative display uses scale models, illustrated graphics and interactive exhibits to convey both the wonder and science of the total eclipse. The display includes a short video presentation on viewing  the eclipse, items you can make to safely view the sun, eclipse photographs and a brief history of solar eclipses.
