The weather the Tri-State has experienced over the past few weeks has been a roller coaster no one wants to ride, but we've all been forced to. We've seen freezing cold temperatures turn to Spring-like temperatures in the matter of a day, along with snow, ice, and more rain than we'd care to have. And it looks like the ride isn't over yet with a new threat of severe weather entering the area on Saturday.

The National Weather Service in Paducah has placed the entire Tri-State under some type of severe weather threat for Saturday. If you live in western Kentucky, that threat is slightly higher as the NWS has placed you under an Enhanced Risk, while those in southern Indiana and southern Illinois are one step down with a Slight Risk.

According to the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center, "Damaging winds will be the primary severe weather hazard" and "Isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled
out."

As with anytime there's a severe weather threat in our area, if conditions get particularly nasty, we will simulcast coverage of the event from our media partners at Eyewitness News.
