(EVANSVILLE, IN) - The Arts Council of Southern Indiana is excited to announce that their next exhibit which will feature the Signature School International Baccalaureate Art Students. The opening reception for the exhibit will be Friday, March 16th beginning at 6:00 pm. The show will feature nine students including: Alyson Adams, Jarrod Bouchie, Baylor Dowdy, Caroline Ellert, Claire Fox, Allissa Gronotte, Chelsie Kasun, Megan Parker and Greta Smith. Each student will have 12 pieces on display.

Clinton Bosler teaches Fine Arts Connections, Visual Art 1 & 2 IB Art and AP Studio Art at Signature School and has helped give the students direction for their assignments.

“It is quite an honor for the IB students to have this opportunity to be able to display their artwork and artist statements in the Bower-Suhrheinrich Foundation Gallery,” said Bosler.

The gallery is located at 318 Main Street in Innovation Pointe and the show will be on display until April 20, 2012. In the past, student portfolios have been sent off to Cardiff, Wales for review.

The International Baccalaureate programme was founded in 1968 as way to push motivated students to “develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn, and work in a rapidly globalizing world."
