Should School Teachers Be Armed ? [Poll]

With the devastating incidents of shootings across the country the past several years, such as the latest tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, the sheriff in Noble County, Indiana, is proposing that up to four teachers in each school there undergo firearms training and carry weapons within in the school for protection against future gunman assaults.The armed teachers would be appointed as special deputies.  The Central Noble County School Board is considering the idea.  What do you think about teachers carrying weapons in schools?
