The numbers are simply astounding.

As you listen to us talk about the great strides St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has made over its 50+ year in the fight against childhood cancer, I wanted to share with you a statistical comparison of cancer survivor rates since St. Jude first opened in 1962 to show you what you’re commitment to becoming a Partner in Hope can do for kids battling cancer.

Below is a list of several, more common forms of childhood cancers and their survival rates thanks to the leading role St. Jude played in the research and treatment of each.

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Description: Cancer of the blood and the most common form of childhood cancer

Description: Cancer of the lymph system
