The Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is welcoming a new arrival to the zoo!

Meet Rupert the Rhinoceros! His journey here to Evansville has been delayed a bit from Oklahoma to Indiana, so they're not sure on the exact date of his arrival.

Rupert is of Indian decent. Here's some interesting "Rhino" facts: The rhino comes from a large heavyset herbivorous perissodactyl family of mammals from Africa and Asia and have one or two upright keratinous horns on the snout and thick gray to brown skin with little hair.
