The flood waters from the recent heavy rains are finally starting to recede, giving victims the opportunity to start assessing the damage left behind and begin what will no doubt be a long process of getting their homes back to normal. Thankfully, the American Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana is stepping in to offer help by providing free supplies for those who need them.

For the time being, those supplies along with fresh water can be claimed at the following two locations during the times listed below:

  • The week of March 5th – 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m
  • 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

At this time, the Red Cross also has one shelter open for flood victims at Pointe Township Church of the Nazarene in Mt. Vernon with others on standby in Vanderburgh, Gibson, Spencer, and Jefferson Counties.
