In an article from InsideRadio.com, the good folks at Arbitron, the audience measurement authority in our industry, are out with some very interesting new data.

While other media continue to struggle to hold onto their audience, Arbitron reports radio’s reach continues to stay strong. With about 1.9 million weekly radio listeners (12+) added in the past year, radio’s reach holds steady at 93%. That represents an estimated 242 million Americans tuning to radio each week. Arbitron says it saw gains across all major demographic groups.

So there, doomsayers and naysayers who are always ready to bury Radio. There's life in the old beast yet!
