Evansville local PBS affiliate, WNIN, is set to host "A Celebration of Regional BBQ" on Thursday, June 27th, and they're bringing in one the best to ever man a grill, Steven Raichlen, host of PBS's Project Smoke, to help celebrate!

As someone who likes to cook and grill, I enjoy watching shows that share recipes and tips on how to make the most out of your meals. Having been a fan of Steven's previous series, Barbecue University, that fact he'll be in town and part of this event is really exciting! The man knows his way around a grill.

The event takes place from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the WNIN studios at 405 Carpenter Street in downtown Evansville and will feature live music, barbecue tastings, and beer. All those in attendance will also get a copy of Steven's newest book, Barbecue Sauces Rubs and Marinades: Bastes, Butters, and Glazes Too, which features over 200 recipes!

Due to alcohol being served, the event is for those 21-years of age or over. Sorry kiddos!

Tickets are on sale now through June 19th and are $25 each, or $40 per pair.

Check out Steven's handy work below from an episode of Project Smoke where he whips up some amazing looking Bacon, Ham and Cheese Chicken Thighs. If you're mouth isn't water by the time you finish the video, something is seriously wrong with you and we can't be friends.
