On March 23, 2014 from 2-5 PM at the Browning Room in Central Library in Evansville all local high-school age girls, friends and parents are invited to attend Project Princess.

Girls who want to attend their school’s 2014 prom but cannot afford a dress can receive a new or gently-used dress from Project Princess free-of-charge.

Currently, we are in desperate need of plus-size dresses (14+) and large shoes (9+). We are accepting all sizes of prom and bridesmaid dresses but we strongly encourage those with a size 14 or higher dress to bring it in!

To donate your dress, shoes and accessories to Project Princess, drop off items to Townsquare Media at 117 SE 5th St. Evansville (3 blocks South of the Ford Center off Walnut) or at WBKR on 3301 Frederica Street and we'll do the rest.

Recipients must bring school ID or proof of studentship such as a report card or book fee bill and are encouraged to wear a tight-fitting tank and shorts under their clothes for quick try-ons as the dressing rooms might be full throughout the event.

To become a sponsor or donate services for door prize giveaways or coupons such as salon appointments, dry cleaning or dresses, please contact Katelyn Buttram at 812.499.7867812.499.7867 or Ashley Sollars at 270.485.2873270.485.2873.

It's hard to let go of something that reminds you of priceless memories but think of the memories another girl can make. After all, every girl deserves a happy ending!
