Police Arrest Man in Evansville Child Abduction Case

I'm sure, by now, you've heard about this story. Yesterday, near Garvin Park, a young boy was lured into a stranger's vehicle where he was sexually assaulted. The attacker also tried to abduct the boy. Luckily the victim was able to escape. Well according to the Evansville Police Department, a man has been arrested in this case.

The suspect is 26 year old Jack Perkins III of Evansville. He was picked up by police around 10:30 this morning near his home. EPD spokesman Sgt. Jason Cullum said that Perkins has been preliminary charged with two counts of Class A felony child molesting and one count of Class B felony criminal confinement.

Perkins is currently in custody and should be booked in Vanderburgh County Jail soon.
