The Boonville High School Wellness Club is organizing a brand new 1K/5K run/walk at Boonville High School on March 10, 2018 in an effort to promote wellness in the community.

According to the event's page,

Medals will be awarded for the 5K option in 7 age groups, male/female 1st-3rd. There will also be a Kids Dash with medals awarded. Bring your friends, family or co-workers for a great wellness opportunity...and feel free to dress up(trophy awarded for best dressed group)!! The 1K route will be all hard surface, then the 5K route will lead to some off-road surfaces, traveling through some of the fine ball field facilities on the campus and part of the cross-country course.

Your registration gets you a chip-timed bib, t-shirt and food/goodies after the race.

The cool thing about this event is that the proceeds will go to support scholarships, clubs, teams, athletics and athletic Hall of Fame of Boonville High School. As an alumni, this is a fantastic thing to see happen for the kids at Boonville. Of course this run/walk isn't limited to the folks of Boonville. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to be a part of the first annual Pioneer Spirit Dash.

If you or your business would like to help put this event on, sponsorship opportunities are available for any business/organization wishing to do so. You can register now to be a sponsor and/or participate in the run walk by clicking on the link below.
