The bats were out in full force as the Otters rout the River City Rascals 11-0 in the final game of their three game series Monday night, and launch Evansville to the top of the East Division.

The Otters came out swinging right from the start with a RBI single from outfielder Jeremy Nowak in the bottom of the first, followed by another two runs in the bottom of the third. A two-run homer from Chris Sweeney, his 14th of the season, in the bottom of the sixth put the team up 6-0 before the team added five more runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Pitching for the team was also on point as Connor Little, making his Otters debut on the mound, only gave up two hits in eight innings pitched, and retired 10 of 11 batters at one point.

The win puts the Otters into a first place tie with the Washington Wild Things atop the East Division with the Southern Illinois Miners nipping at their heels. The Wild Things were off Monday night and will next play at Windy City tonight while the Otters head to Schaumburg for a three game series beginning tonight before hosting Washington at Bosse Field for a three game series beginning Friday evening at 6:35pm.
