After a season filled with blowouts, NFL teams finally played some close games in Week 12. Here’s a recap of this week’s highlights:

Odell Beckham Made The Greatest Catch Ever & The Giants Still Lost

Giants rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made one of the greatest catches in NFL history on Sunday night, but it didn’t matter. Tony Romo threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Dez Bryant with 1:01 left, and Dallas rallied from an 11-point deficit to beat New York, 31-28, in the Meadowlands.

Beckham caught 10 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns, including a spectacular 43-yard catch on the first play of the second quarter that is likely to become one of the most replayed highlights ever. On the play, Beckham beat cornerback Brandon Carr to make a leaping, one-handed grab while falling backward into the end zone.

Romo threw four touchdown passes as the Cowboys (8-3) remained the only NFL team undefeated on the road this season (5-0). The Giants (3-8) inched closer to 2015 NFL draft preparations after blowing a 21-10 halftime lead and a 28-24 edge with three minutes to play.

The Seahawks Shut The Cardinals Down

The Cardinals entered Sunday with the NFL’s best record, but the Seahawks ended the day back in the NFC West race. Despite being sacked a season-high seven times, Russell Wilson threw for 211 yards and added 73 yards rushing, as Seattle snapped Arizona’s six-game winning streak with a decisive 19-3 win.

The Seahawks (7-4) got four field goals from Steven Hauschka on their way to rejoining the battle royal that is the NFC West race. Seattle remained tied with San Francisco, two games behind the Cardinals. Arizona (9-2) managed just 204 total yards of offense.

The “good” Andy Dalton showed up on Sunday, and the Bengals beat the Texans, 22-13, in Houston. Dalton threw for 233 yards and a touchdown for Cincinnati (7-3-1), which remained in first place in the tight AFC North by virtue of the win. Meanwhile, the Browns needed Billy Cundiff's 37-yard field goal as time expired to lock up a 26-24 win over the Falcons on Sunday. Cleveland (7-4) overcame three interceptions thrown by quarterback Brian Hoyer.

A Baltimore (6-4) victory on Monday — paired with the idle Steelers (7-4) — would create a three-way tie for second in the AFC North. The Browns secret weapon for the stretch run could be receiver Josh Gordon, who had eight catches for 120 yards in his first game back this season after serving a 10-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.

Houston (5-6) fell further behind in the AFC South, as quarterback Ryan Mallett may have suffered a torn pectoral muscle. Atlanta (4-7) could remain tied for first place in the NFC South despite the loss if New Orleans (4-6) loses to the Ravens on Monday.

The Packers Passed The Lions In The NFC North

The Packers notched their seventh win in the last eight games by beating the Vikings, 24-21, but it wasn’t pretty. Green Bay (8-3) needed Eddie Lacy to run for a season-high 125 yards and two scores to beat lowly Minnesota (4-7).

The dicey victory allowed the Packers to pass the Lions for sole possession of first place in the NFC North when New England drilled Detroit, 34-9. LaGarrette Blount, who was cut from the Steelers earlier in the week after he left the sidelines before the team's game ended on Monday night, scored two touchdowns for the Patriots (9-2). Tom Brady threw for 349 yards and two touchdowns in his team’s seventh straight win.

The Raiders Won, But Sure Tried to Lose

It happened all the way back on Thursday night, but the Raiders snapped a 16-game losing streak when they upset the Chiefs, 24-20. Oakland (1-10) scored on a 9-yard TD pass from Derek Carr to James Jones with 1:42 to play to finally get a win in 2014.

Kansas City (7-4) had a chance to mount a game-winning drive, but the Raiders defense held…because Justin Tuck was savvy. The veteran defensive lineman called a timeout after young linebackers Khalil Mack and Sio Moore were celebrating a third down sack of Alex Smith and neglected to get back across the line of scrimmage for the impending fourth down play. Oakland stopped the clock — then the Chiefs — and snapped what was the NFL’s longest active losing streak.
