November holds some exciting events at the Evansville Museum of Art, History and Science. Starting with the Runaissance 5K Run/Walk this weekend and rounding out the month with a special appearance by Santa, reading of The Polar Express and more at the Emtrac Express! 

Runaissance 5K Run/Walk

Saturday, November 8 at 8 a.m.

The 5K is an exciting, family friendly event along Evansville's beautiful Pigeon Creek Greenway Passage. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether as a runner, walker, or to cheer on the participants. There will also be a kids fun run, where all participants twelve and under will receive medals.

This year's Runaissance 5K will take place on Saturday, November 8. T-shirts bearing this year's design will be given to participants. Registration forms will be mailed to members, may be picked up at the front desk, or you can sign up for the race by clicking here.

 

Trivia Night

Thursday, Novmeber 20, 7 p.m.

Join the Evansville Museum Contemporaries for a fun night of Trivia. Categories include Art, History, Science, Pop Culture, Music, and Literature. Heavy hor'deurves are provided by Acropolis Restaurant & Catering. Cash Bar opens at 7 p.m.; Trivia begins at 7:30 p.m.

Family Movie Night: Tim Burton's Corpse Bride

Saturday, November 22, 6:45 p.m.

See acclaimed animated feature films at the Koch Immersive Theater. Family Movie Night presentations are shown on the giant screen of the Koch Immersive Theater and are presented in movie theater format. Admission to Family Movie Nights is $7 per person and $3 for members.

This quirky and charming musical directed by Tim Burton creates a magical realm that will be brought to the Koch Immersive Theater on Saturday, November 22 at 6:45 p.m.

Super Saturday: Bubbles!

Saturday, November 22, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

During the fourth Saturday of every month, Evansville Museum guests will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of family-friendly crafts, activities and challenges at events called Super Saturdays.

November's Super Saturday is Bubbles! The day will be filled with activities including making bubble art and the science of bubbles. Come play in our the Bubble-wraparium, our room full of bubble wrap that you can pop as much as you want. All activities are included with Museum admission.

 

EMTRAC EXPRESS

December 5, 6, 12, or 13, 6 p.m.

Visit the Evansville Museum Transportation Center for a holiday evening of magical memories! Guests will enjoy a special reading of The Polar Express in the train's club car and will be treated to hot cocoa and cookies in the train's dining car. A special gift and a visit with Santa will make this an evening to cherish for years to come.

Pajamas are welcome, and "Golden Tickets" are required for the event. The cost is $20 per person for Members and $25 per person for Not-Yet Members. Children under age 2 may sit on the lap of a ticket-holding adult. Tickets will be received the evening of the event.
