A contractor Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans night lane restrictions along the US 41 North Henderson Strip starting this evening.

The lane restrictions starting after 7 p.m., CDT, are to allow a contractor to begin base repairs at various locations to prepare for night paving to start at a later date.  One lane of traffic flow will be maintained in each direction during this base repair work.   Construction will be completed at these locations and all lanes reopened to normal traffic flow by 6:00 a.m. each morning.

This base repair work will be along US 41 between the US 60 Cloverleaf at about the 16 mile marker and the US 41 Twin Bridges at about the 19 mile marker at Henderson.

This work is being scheduled at night to avoid disrupting traffic during peak travel periods.

Motorists should be aware of these night lane restrictions and use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.  This work is scheduled on a weather permitting basis and is expected to continue through Thursday night.

Once the base repairs are completed the roadway will be allowed to settle for about a week before night paving can start.  The night paving will be scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., CDT, on a Sunday night through Thursday night schedule.
