When you are three, the whole world is a magical place; filled with princesses and possibilities. This past March, three-year-old Phoebe was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a rare, terminal brain tumor.

Little Miss Phoebe has a passion. She loves animals - to the point that some might call her a tad bit obsessed. As the mom of a three-year-old girl, I totally get it.

A Facebook page dedicated to Phoebe's journey has found a way for the child to take her mind off her illness. They are asking that animals from all over the country send her a note and a photo about themselves.

Kodi Bear, an Akita who lives in Newburgh with his family and little brother, Chaz, decided he wanted to send a special message to Phoebe! Kodi loves singing and shared a little song he made up about Phoebe. If Kodi sounds familiar, well, keep that to yourself. Childhood is magical, remember?

Of course, the pet parents will have to do the writing but Phoebe's Friends FB page asked this of the letters:

We are asking anyone and everyone with pets of any kind to send a letter FROM THEIR ANIMAL along with a picture to her. Talk about what they do for fun, work, what they like to eat, etc. Flex your creative writing muscles. Please don't mention anything about being sick. Just keep it light, fun, and make believe. Hoping she has something in the mailbox every single day.
