I refuse to buy DVDs - for everyone's sake. I have a three-year-old daughter and for a while Aristocats was her favorite movie. We watched it every single day on Netflix. But then, one day, it was no longer available. I briefly thought about buying the movie but then I decided, no, it was time to rip off the band-aide for my sanity's sake. There were tears and then we quickly moved on to something else. Problem is, there wasn't much else on Netflix that was of any quality. Beethoven's 5th - um no. Weird foreign anime? Double no.

We ended up canceling Netflix and rent movies here and there because it just wasn't worth it but I just found out that we might have to rethink that this September. Netflix will be streaming every new Disney movie including Marvel, all of Pixar, all of Lucasfilm. So, what does this mean? Once a Disney movie is out of theaters, it will head on over to Netflix.

There are some reports that Netflix will also be streaming classics like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast but the official Netflix statement states:

From September onwards, Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar. And we’re excited to be bringing you new and exclusive Netflix Original movies including Mascots from the master of low-key comedy Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind) and War Machinefrom acclaimed Australian director David Michod and starring Brad Pitt, in the serio-comic tale of the U.S. military adventure in Afghanistan.

So, it looks like some movies like Zootopia, The Jungle Book (reboot), Captain America: Civil War,  Alice Through the Looking Glass, and maybe even Finding Dory will probably be on the list.

Now all these Disney movies come at a hefty price - which means the cost of a subscription will likely increase too. Now, we wait...
