‘Monsters University’ Voice Cast Includes John Krasinski, Nathan Fillion and More
Although 'Monsters University' reunites much of the original cast of 'Monsters, Inc.,' plenty of new voices have been added to the mix, making this one of the most star-studded Pixar movie to date. Heck, it's DreamWorks-esque how many big names are associated with this movie. The voice actors involved have been slowly revealed over the past few months, but a few more were announced today, including John Krasinski and Nathan Fillion.
The news comes via EW, who also provided some minor details for these new characters. For example, Krasinski (of 'The Office' fame) plays "'Frightening' Frank McCay, a Scaring super star at Monsters, Inc." and Fillion (of 'Castle' and 'Firefly') takes on the role of "Johnny Worthington, the confident president of Roar Omega Roar (ROR), a Monsters University fraternity that prides itself on its notable Scarers." Bonnie Hunt, who voiced a character in Pixar's 'A Bug's Life' back in 1998, provides "the voice of young Mike Wazowski’s grade school teacher Karen Graves."
Those names join returning stars John Goodman, Billy Crystal and Steve Buscemi, but they're backed up by the rest of the announced cast, which includes Helen Mirren, Already Molina, Dave Foley, Sean Hayes, Joel Murray, Charlie Day, Aubrey Plaza and Bobby Moynihan. Oh, and John Ratzenberger (who has appeared in every Pixar movie to date) will also be featured, because that's a tradition that rightfully lives on.
'Monsters University' arrives on June 21.
