Mesker Zoo’s Annual 5K is Coming Soon

The 4th annual Run Wild or Walk Proud event will take you through the scenic and hilly grounds of Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden. You and the whole family are invited to participate on Wednesday, September 5th at 6pm.

You might be thinking (I know I was) "Wait a minute. Did he just say this is happening on a Wednesday?" Yes, I sure did. It's actually a perfect time to do it. The sun will still be out, but it should start to cool down...and it won't take up a perfectly good Saturday morning/afternoon. And it won't interfere  with any training programs for the Evansville YMCA Half Marathon.

This event is family friendly and strollers are welcome. Even if you can't do the walk/run, you are encouraged to come out as a spectator and cheer on their participants from the observation deck at the starting line. Refreshments, door prizes, and socializing will take place at the finish line immediately following the race.

The entry fees will be $20 before September 1st...and $25 after September 1st.
