Ever since the announcement of Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' franchise fans have been wondering how the 'Avengers'-adjacent series would tie in to Marvel's upcoming cinematic ventures like 'Thor: The Dark World' and 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' and it seems we may finally have our answer. November episode "The Well" will directly tie into the events of the 'Thor' sequel, with an episode helmed by 'Star Trek''s Jonathan Frakes!

So says Entertainment Weekly of the November 19 episode, clarifying of the plot that “In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces -- one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team.”

No word yet if any of the film's stars will make it into the episode, or what aspect of 'Thor: The Dark World''s plot will impact "The Well," though we do know that guest stars include “Peter MacNicol as Professor Elliot Randolph, Michael Graziadei as Jakob Nystrom, Erin Way as Petra Larsen, Toby Wilson as Neils, Alex Neustaedter as Maynard and Sylvia Brindis as Elena.”

Not very much to go on, granted, though an episode directly tying into one of the Marvel films will no doubt bring 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' under increased scrutiny, given the rampant criticism of the first five episodes, and doubts the series can stand on its own without its cinematic brethren.

Well, what say you? Will 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' be able to go toe-to-toe with 'Thor: The Dark World," or is the series too weak to stand on its own? Check out a clip from next week's "FZZT" below, and give us your thoughts in the comments!
