At first I was excited that today was "Meatout" Day because I thought the term meant that you are supposed to go to a restaurant and eat meat!  You know, meat - out.  Then I found out what it really meant and I got kind of depressed.  Why?  Because I'm an omnivore, that's why.  Sure, I eat lots of plants, but I also enjoy eating meats.  So could I go for a day without eating meat?

The answer is, yes, if I really wanted to, but I don't want to, so I won't be going meatless today.  I may not go meatless any day, but if I do, it's going to be on a day when meat isn't available.  If you want to go meatless, for a day or even longer, I don't have a problem with that.  Actually, there will be more meat for me then!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a hankerin' for a big juicy t-bone... or maybe some barbeque pork butt...or maybe some fried chicken...maybe some sizzlin' bacon...mmmm.
