For most people, ringing in the new year goes hand and hand with tipping back a few "adult beverages," and Logan's Promise, along with Lefler's Collision want to make sure everyone has a great time, and more importantly, gets home safely when the party is over.

Charles Brown, founder of Logan's Promise, has made it his mission to do everything he can to raise awareness of the effects drinking and driving has on families and the community after his son, Logan, lost his life in March of 2014 when the car he was riding in was hit by a drunk driver on University Parkway.

The free cab rides will be offered within Evansville city limits, and available from 11:00 p.m. Sunday night until 3:00 a.m. Monday morning.  If your home is outside the limits, your cab driver will still take you all the way home, however you'll be on the hook for whatever the cost may be once you get in the county.

It should also be noted the free ride offer is only for those ready to call it a night and want to go home to sleep it off. If you're wanting to use the service to bounce from bar to bar, you'll have to cover that cost out of your own pocket, or use Uber or Lyft.

To take advantage of the offer, simply call Yellow Cab dispatch at 812-429-0000.
