Kentucky Bourbon Trail Releases New Smartphone App

Hey, there’s an app for Jack...and now there is an app for the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, as well.

According to a news release from the Kentucky Distillers Association, the organization recently released a free app on the Apple iTunes store and on their website that will help guide people interested in Kentucky’s distilleries to find information, like directions and tour hours, maps, tasting notes and tutorials.

Adam Johnson, director of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, says that the app is like a virtual bourbon bar.

“You can sort, filter and explore dozens of brands, from classic straight Kentucky Bourbon to new alt whiskeys,” said Johnson. “We’ve even reserved a top shelf for your favorites. You can mark the ones you’ve tasted and interact with your friends on social media.”

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail consists of a number of distilleries, including Four Roses Distillery, Wild Turkey Distillery, Jim Beam Brands Co., Maker’s Mark Distillery Inc., and Woodford Reserve Distillery.
