When you think of Indiana, most people envision cornfields and cattle, not vineyards and wineries. However, a one-day event scheduled as part of the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail hopes to, perhaps, add a little more fun and refinement to the community.

Uncork the Uplands is a wine and food sampling event happening on July 27 at Oliver Winery’s Creekebend Vineyard in Ellettsville, Indiana. There will also be a reception immediately following the event at the Bloomington Monroe County Convention Center.

Wine enthusiasts will be able to sample flavors from 10 Indiana wineries, as well as foods prepared by Indiana chefs.

“Uncork the Uplands is a rare opportunity to sample interesting wines from across south-central Indiana, all in one place,” said Kim Doty, president of the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail. “Our wineries produce excellent varietals that are elegant, complex, and, best of all, diverse.”
