History enthusiasts will soon get to enjoy the Indiana Military Museum’s new location, as the facility is preparing for its grand opening at the end of the month.

According to a press release, the Indiana Military Museum will celebrate the completion of their move from outside of Vincennes to a new building in close proximity to downtown on May 31.

Museum founder Jim Osbourne says that the celebration will feature the grandson of World War II Army General George Patton, as well as a dedication of a F-4 Phantom fighter that was recently donated to the museum.

In addition, the museum is also planning a Vietnam War veteran’s event Jun 8-9 that is said to include re-enactors, encampments and vendors.
