The brutal murder of a retired Indiana couple, found dead and decomposing in their home in Lowell, has led police to arrest the couple’s son in connection with the murders.

Authorities say that 34-year-old Thomas Snow was arrested earlier this week in Minnesota, and is being held as the primary suspect in the murders of his parents, Clifford and Joyce Snow. The culprit is also wanted in connection with an unrelated armed robbery that took place in Newtown County, Indiana, and authorities say the man will remain in custody until the murder investigation is complete.

Police say they discovered the two bodies on Friday after a concerned family member put a call in to local authorities to conduct a well-being check. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the two victim’s badly decomposed bodies inside their home.

Autopsy reports indicate that the couple died from blunt force trauma and asphyxiation. Dental records were required to identify the victims.

Thomas Snow reportedly has an extensive criminal record, which includes drug activity, robbery, and resisting law enforcement.
