31 players from all corners of the country descended on Swonder Ice Arena over the weekend for the opportunity to live out their dream of playing professional hockey. Of those 31, three found themselves invited to join the IceMen at their upcoming training camp beginning October 4th at the Ford Center.

Dustin Jesseau, Armand de Swardt, and Aaron McGill impressed Head Coach Dwight Mullins and his staff enough during the three day free agent camp with their speed, size, and toughness to warrant the invitations.

Jesseau, an Ontario, Canada native made the 14-hour trip to Evansville with experience playing junior hockey in his homeland. Said Mullins of Jesseau, "He came out of nowhere. He’s a speedy, flashy guy that really made a presence here over the weekend.“

Armand de Swardt is a native of Plano, Texas who recently wrapped a four-year collegiate career at Cornell. At 6-feet, 5-inches tall, the forward "is a big body player that I think can provide a physical presence,” according to Mullins. “He can get up and down the ice when he wants to.”

Salem, Oregon native McGill has spent a majority of the last four season in the Southern Professional Hockey League, posting career highs in every category with the Huntsville Havoc during the 2012-2013 season.

Mullins calls McGill "a big physical presence...an energy type player. I’m looking forward to him coming in and contributing when we get together with the big team.”

The IceMen open camp at the Ford Center on October 4th.

Remember single-game tickets are available now at the Ford Center box office, Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Ticket info can be found through the IceMen website.
