Evansville IceMen Head Coach Al Sims continues his work on shaping the team roster to fit his system by sending forward Kevin Harvey to Rapid City for future considerations.

Harvey was brought to the IceMen by former coach, Dwight Mullins who coached him during their time together with Elmira. In 41 games with the IceMen this season, Harvey made his presence felt on the ice scoring seven goals and dishing out 11 assists while not being afraid to get scrappy when the situation called for it. His 187 penalty minutes is a team high this season, and stands as the third highest single season total in IceMen history.

His willingness to throw down gained him some national attention when video of his fight against Cody Lampl of the Toledo Walleye back in November went viral thanks to the fact that Harvey was wearing a jersey designed to look like comic book villain, The Riddler, while Lampl played the "hero" wearing a jersey designed to look like Batman.

Harvey's trip to Rapid City will be his third stint with the team and will reunite him with his IceMen roommate, Kale Kerbashian who was sent to the Rush last week.

The IceMen wrap up their six-game home stand this Friday and Saturday night as they host the Indy Fuel. Friday night’s game will also be Hawg Night where teams from around the Tri-State will compete in a barbecue eating contest. Call 812-421-GOAL if you have a team interested in competing.

Tickets for both games are available at the Ford Center box office from 10am-5pm Monday through Friday, and after Noon on Saturday.

Coverage of both games can be heard on ESPN Evansville 105.3, and online at ESPNevansville.com beginning at 7:00pm.
