Back when we thought the current season of 'How I Met Your Mother' would be the show's last, we knew co-creators and show-runners Carter Bays and Craig Thomas would return a number of past stars and characters alike, notably Robin (Cobie Smulders)'s famed Canadian alter-ego Robin Sparkles! And while we've still got a ninth season to go, Robin Sparkles' return will also include a cavalcade of Canadian stars, including previous guests Alan Thicke and James Van Der Beek! Find out the extensive guest list inside!

Oh Canada, indeed! While the 'How I Met Your Mother Gang' has made no secret of skewering our neighbors to the north before through Robin Scherbatsky's heritage and past pop career as Robin Sparkles, the upcoming February 4 episode will prove the show's most Canadian yet!

CBS has released a new promo for the upcoming February 4 episode of 'How I Met Your Mother,' heralding what was thought to be the final appearance of Robin Sparkles, and listing returning stars Alan Thicke and James Van Der Beek amid an extensive Canadian guest roster that also includes 'Late Show' bandleader Paul Shaffer, '90210' hunk Jason Priestley, 'Jeopardy's Alex Trebek, K.D. Lang, Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page, Rush frontman Getty Lee and Canadian former hockey star Luc Robitaille.

Though Van Der Beek was actually born in the States, the actor will presumably be reprising his role as Robin's Canadian one-time teen romance Simon, last seen in "Sandcastles in the Sand."

How I Met Your Mother' will return with all-new episode "Band or DJ?" on Monday, January 14, but in the meantime check out the new video promo below and give us your thoughts on Robin Sparkles' Canadian extravaganza in the comments!
