Historic Newburgh, Inc is searching for individuals and groups interested in helping us turn back the clock to the late 1800's the first weekend in December, the 6th and 7th.

Organizers will be sharing their vision for Newburgh Celebrates Christmas on Monday evening, November 10th at the Historic Newburgh Headquarters, 517 West Main at 6 pm. If you can't attend, please call Kate at (812) 459-7955.

We have a need for caroling groups, musicians to play on the street corner, paperboys, people to help with the roasting of chestnuts, and characters to just wander around in period costume. We are also looking for people interested in helping behind the scenes. There will be an opportunity to sign up for roles and shifts.

During Newburgh Celebrates Christmas, people will be dressed in period costume, there will be trolley tours with a hop on hop off shopper bus, Find the Elf Scavenger Hunt, Photos with Santa, Newburgh Museum exhibit and taster of plum pudding, carolers, musicians, dancers and even chestnuts roasting on the open fire.  Sunday evening at 5:30 there will be a public concert by the Castle Knight Sensations and then the lighting of the Town Christmas trees.

Historic Newburgh, Inc. is a non-profit, Main Street organization dedicated to the historic preservation, economic revitalization and sustainability of Downtown Newburgh.
