Before the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team brought home the 2015 World Cup, the sport of soccer started to see an increase in popularity across America after years of being overshadowed by "the Big Three" (football, baseball, and basketball). Hoping to capitalize on that popularity, the Henderson Soccer Club has announced open enrollment for the Youth Fall Recreation League.

Registration is open to both boys and girls ages six through twelve with a cost of $70 for one player, $115 for two players, $160 for three players, $205 for four players, and $250 for five players. Registration fee includes jersey, socks and after game treat. However, players will be responsible for their own cleats and shin guards as well as a ball for practice. The deadline for registration is August 22nd with league play scheduled to begin on September 12th.

For more information and to register your child or children, visit the official Henderson Soccer Club website, or e-mail pysarec@gmail.com. Registration can also be done in person at Henderson County Library in the Multipurpose Room, Sunday, August 16th from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
