A 20-year-old Henderson man has been charged with second-degree terroristic threatening after he was heard making statements about how he could use explosives at Henderson County High School.

According to police someone overheard the conversation at a Henderson restaurant and used their smartphone to take a picture of a man who was identified as Brenden Mathis.

School officials used the One Call system to notify parents that there will be additional police officers on duty at the school on Monday.
