If, for whatever reason, you have a stack of old tires laying around you don't know what to do with, and you live in Henderson, you can finally get rid of them and open up some space in your garage or poll barn during the Henderson County Waste's Tire Collection Event taking place now through Saturday.

Truck, light truck, passenger, implement, lawn tractor, bicycle, motorcycle, and golf cart tires, on or off the rim, will be accepted by Henderson County Recycling at 398 Sam Ball Way Thursday, Friday, and Saturday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Tires that will NOT be accepted include:

  • Foam Filled Tires
  • Calcium Filled Tires
  • Off road Construction Tires (OTR)
  • Solid Tires with/Without Press on Rims
  • Any Tire with a bead greater than 1 ¾ inches

According to the press release from Henderson County Waste, "Tire Retailers, Scrap/Salavage Yards and Recycle Businesses are Expressly Prohibited from Participating."
