I have always been very blessed. The longest I had to wait for a meal was until my family could find a restaurant that sounded good. I have never gone to bed hungry or woke up wondering if I was going to eat that day. Millions of children across the world do just that though. The numbers are staggering - according to UNICEF, approximately 6,200 children die each day from hunger and hunger related disease. In the past 15 years, the world has been producing more than enough food to feed every person on the planet 2,800 calories per day - which is more than enough to be healthy. However, the number of hungry people in the world has increased. Today, there are over 400 million hungry children.
