Friends of the families of two Boonville girls involved in a drunk driving accident just outside Chandler early last Saturday morning are asking for your help in covering medical and funeral expenses through a series of GoFundMe accounts.

Boonville High School freshman, Skylar Robinson-Williamson was killed in the accident on Highway 62 near Stevenson Station Road after the vehicle she was riding in was struck by a SUV being driven by 18-year-old Osiel Marroquin of Evansville who was traveling west in the eastbound lanes.

Another Boonville resident, Megan Ripperdan, remains in a coma at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville as a result of her injuries. She had recently returned home from college for the holiday break.

A family member of Ripperdan's, Angela Ripperdan, has started a GoFundMe account to help cover the family's cost of what will likely be high medical expenses.

Two separate accounts have been created for Skylar's family. Both appear to be for the purpose of helping the family cover the cost of funeral and burial expenses.

I can't begin to imagine the pain these families are going through, and for this tragedy to happen just days before Christmas surely makes it even more difficult to deal with. On behalf of the entire KISS-FM family, we send our thoughts and prayers to the families of both Skyler and Megan during this difficult time.
