Good news for AM radio (and WGBF-AM) listeners:  all those devices that cause static on AM radio will soon be in trouble. Insideradio.com has details:

NAB aims to clear the air on AM radio.
The flood of spectrum-using devices — from garage door openers to iPads — is growing. It’s increasingly interfering with AM station signal quality. The NAB Radio Board this week approved conducting a wide-ranging engineering study to look at ways to keep AM radio viable in the next five to ten years.
