With HBO's 'Girls' all the buzz these days, and '30 Rock' soon to close its doors with its January 31 series finale, we've been wondering what some of our favorite NBC stars would get up to next. In addition to his producing deal with Universal TV, it seems '30 Rock' star Alec Baldwin may make the move from 'The Girlie Show' to just plain 'Girls,' based on a recent conversation between Baldwin and 'Girls' creator / star Lena Dunham. Find out who Baldwin might play on the next season of HBO's 'Girls' inside!

HBO's 'Girls' has already displayed some impressive talent in the first two episodes of its second season, with more to come, but could an appearance from soon-to-be-former '30 Rock' star Alec Baldwin be in the cards for the un-confirmed third season of Lena Dunham's Golden Globe-winning gem? Judging by Dunham's recent appearance on Baldwin's podcast 'Here's the Thing,' the two might get to work sooner than you'd think.

Lena Dunham: Starting season three. Well, we’re starting season three and —

Alec Baldwin: When?

Lena Dunham: We’re starting at the end of March. I’m so excited.

Alec Baldwin: Great. I’ll be available.

Lena Dunham: Yay!

Alec Baldwin: I’ll come and play your therapist.

Lena Dunham: That would be the most fun thing in the world.

Alec Baldwin: You need a therapist.

Lena Dunham: Bad.

Alec Baldwin: Bad.

Of course, we'd also previously heard Baldwin express a similar commitment to 'Portlandia' stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, but thus far nothing official has materialized. Elsewhere, 'Girls' season 2 boasts Rita Wilson as Marnie’s mother,  Patrick Wilson as a dreamy doc love interest of Hannah’s, Donald Glover as Sandy, another new love interest for Hannah, and Shiri Appleby as a new romantic foil for Adam.

Well, what say you? Do you think Alec Baldwin could make good on his promise to appear in 'Girls' season 3? Who would you like to see on the HBO drama?
