Is there anything lower than stealing money from Girl Scouts selling cookies? A shameless Houston, TX area thief did just that, snatching $200 from the scouts of Troop #29152, who were hawking their thin mints in front of  a local Wal-Mart.

The cowardly criminal pretended he was interested in buying the cookies, before snatching the girl’s cash box. But the crook didn’t make a clean getaway, as Scouts Iravia Cotton and Rachel Johnson chased him back to his car.

Iravia was able to get the passenger door open, and started punching the thief’s accomplice in the face. Rachel held on to the bumper of the car and suffered minor scratches and bruises after they finally shook her by speeding away.

Who steals from a Girl Scout? I mean, seriously, it’s like the worst thing ever,” Rachel said. “I hope your face hurts from when Iravia punched you — jerks!”

The robbers have yet to be caught and unfortunately Girl Scout rules dictate that the scouts are still responsible for the stolen money. But because this story has received so much attention, there is no shortage of folks willing to either reimburse the girls or buy a lot more of their cookies. Read on for a report on the robbery, and Iravia and Rachel’s brave reactions.
