The Evansville Police need you help in locating a suspect in a shooting death outside Sam's Market on Washington Avenue.

Officers arrived on the scene early Wednesday morning, and originally thought the victim had overdosed on drugs. According to Joe Bird with Eyewitness News, upon further investigation, officers discovered the man had been shot. Attempts to revive the victim by paramedics were unsuccessful.

Officers were able to find and question an individual they believed could provide information on the situation, however that lead came up empty.

As the Department continues their investigation, they are asking anyone who may have been in the area over the course of the overnight hours, or have information that could lead them to a possible suspect, to contact them through the Department's Tip Line at (812) 435-6194, or the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Office's anonymous WeTip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463)
