Detective Nathan Schroer was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2004 and he won his battle with the disease. Earlier this week, Nathan learned that after 8 years of remission, his Leukemia was back.

Nathan joined the EPD in 2002 and has worked a variety of assignments. He is currently assigned to Holly’s House to investigate domestic violence and sex related offences.

He is also a chaplain for the EPD, serves as interim pastor at NorthWoods Church, and runs the Code 3 Ministries group that serves people in law enforcement.

The upcoming battle will be physically and financially tough. But anyone who knows Nathan knows his faith will never waiver. Despite the looming financial burden, the only thing the Schroers have asked for is prayer.

Nathan and his wife Lindsey have three children.
