Evansville Police Forced to Tase an Alleged Cop Kicker
Do you want to guess what happens when the police attempt to take someone into custody and instead of going quietly the perpetrator decides to act like a raging lunatic and kick one of the officers – that’s right kids, they get Tased!
That is exactly what Evansville police say happened last night after they responded to a disturbance call at a local apartment complex.
According to a report, Sergio Weathers, 21, showed up at the Phoenix Apartments at 1143 Covert Ave on Thursday evening and proceeded to get into an altercation with one of the residents.
Police say that when they arrived Weathers was yelling obscenities and fully engaged in what officers say was a family dispute.
When officers attempted to place Weathers in the back of the squad car, he reportedly began to resist their efforts and in doing so kicked one of the officers in the knee.
As you can probably imagine, this is where things took a turn for the worse for Mr. Weathers.
The report indicates that once Mr. Weathers kicked the officer - that is when they were forced to drop him high voltage style in the parking lot with a Taser to the chest.
Weathers was arrested and charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, resisting police and battery on police. Our guess is that they could have charged him with idiocy it would have made the top of the list.
He is currently being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
