Investigators with the Evansville Police Department are asking the public for information that will help lead to the discovery of a suspect in the Sunday night death of Shane Breedlove.

According to WEHT, Breedlove's body was found near the intersection of Washington and Thompson Avenues (between Green River Road and Burkhardt) Sunday night around 9:30. Investigators say the body showed signs of trauma and a number of shell casings were found nearby.

Breedlove was well known in the Evansville bar scene as a karaoke host and club DJ. Personally, I knew Shane through my work in radio. Although I hadn't seen him in a couple of years, and didn't know him well, we had crossed paths a number of times over the years whenever I was doing a live broadcast at a bar he also happened to be working at. I remember Shane being a really nice guy who enjoyed his job as an entertainer. My sincerest sympathies go out to his family.

If you or someone you know has any information that will help lead police to the discovery of a suspect in his death, please call the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's anonymous We Tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (1-800-782-7463), or the Evansville Police Department Tip Line at 812-435-6194.
