The mission of Make-A-Wish of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana is to make the dreams of children with terminal illnesses come true, and they could use some help making those dreams a reality. That's where you come in.

The local chapter of the non-profit foundation is in need of volunteers to become Wish Granters, and will be holding a training session for those interested this Saturday (January 26th, 2019).

According to information provided to us by Make-A-Wish, "once a child’s condition qualifies to receive a wish through Make-A-Wish, that child is paired with two wish-granting volunteers. Wish Granters get to know the wish child and their family, ask the child what their wish is, work with our staff to do some behind-the-scenes planning, and ultimately, fulfill the child’s one true wish. The time commitment is about two hours per month, per wish that a volunteer picks up...No prior volunteer experience is necessary to learn about granting wishes!"

Saturday's session will take place at F.C. Tucker Emge Realtors at 7820 Eagle Crest Boulevard on Evansville's east side from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A limited number of slots are available. Secure your spot by signing up online.
