The Evansville IceMen announce they've reached an agreement with the Colorado Eagles to acquire Defensemen Daniel Johnston in exchange for fan-favorite, Forward Nathan Moon.

The move comes after Moon surprisingly requested a trade last week after two seasons with the IceMen where he scored 81 points in 96 games.

In return, the team acquires 22-year-old Calgary native Johnston who got his start playing junior hockey with the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the WHL where he scored a career best 34 points in 2012-13. He scored six goals and had 23 assists for the Eagles in 2013-14. He also spent four games with the Calgary Flames’ double A affiliate this season where he had one assist and nine Penalty Minutes.

The IceMen hope to have Johnston with them for their first road game on Halloween night in Indianapolis to take on the Fuel before returning home on Saturday night for the final game of the three-game series.

Tickets for Saturday's game are available at the Ford Center box office, and online through Ticketmaster. The game will also feature entertainment from the The Fur Circus.

Catch both games this weekend on ESPN Evansville 105.3 and online at ESPNevansville.com.
