Evansville Icemen Come Up Short in New Year’s Eve Matchup

Evansville Icemen (Dave Westrich)

The Evansville IceMen had their New Years Eve party crashed by the Gwinnett Gladiators in front of 7,339 fans at the Ford Center.

It looked like a shut out until Evansville scored their only goal of the game late in third period.

For the Gladiators, the win gives them a solid first place in the south division (22-11-1) while the Icemen are 5th in the north division (11-20-3).

The IceMen will welcome back former team members Dan Gendur and Dale Mahovsky as they host the Orlando Solar Bears on Friday.
