Mayor Lloyd Winnecke invites the community to join him at the C.K. Newsome Center (100 E. Walnut) on Saturday, March 19, from 9am-10:15am for the March Energize Evansville free exercise session. This month’s session will feature an outdoor workout with instructors Travis Way and Wayne Cooper of Xtreme Fitness Studios.

Instructors will lead participants through different variations of each exercise so the exercise is fun for all fitness levels. Everyone is encouraged to attend and exercise at their own pace.

“Fitness in the Park” is a health and fitness program launched by Mayor Winnecke as part of his Energize Evansville initiative to give individuals support to transform their lives through physical activity. The program is held the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at a different city park or venue and features local fitness experts leading group exercises for all ages.

The Energize Evansville exercise session on April 16th will feature “Step It Up with Signature”, a fitness walk led by faculty and students of Signature School.  Participants will be led on a walk down Evansville’s Main Street to the riverfront and back.
