The next few weeks will prove plenty busy as broadcast networks announce their new and returning programs, CBS in particular offering a tense competition for the relatively few slots available. Amid all the programming scramble, we've heard that the eye network is looking to develop spinoffs from its popular series 'Elementary' and 'Person of Interest,' but where might we find the new series?

We would be hard pressed to imagine an 'Elementary' spinoff that focused on anyone other than Sherlock Holmes or Joan Watson, but CBS seems to have in mind exactly that...for an online web series. Variety reports that the eye network has begun development of 'Baker Street Irregulars,' a live-action spinoff based on 'Elementary's crew of characters assisting the modern-day Sherlock in solving crimes. The web series will most likely debut this fall.

Also in talks for an online spinoff is that of 'Person of Interest,' to become 'Person of Interest: Animated,' described as a "Japanese anime-style skein produced by namesake series’ creator and exec producer Jonathan Nolan and exec producer Greg Plageman."

An anime rendition of 'Person of Interest' certainly seems ambitious even for CBS, but what say you? Would you be interested in supplementing more CBS dramas with online spinoffs? What shows do you want to see renewed for 2014?
