Eastern Tri-State Upgraded to Enhanced Weather Risk for Friday

One day after placing the entire Tri-State under a Slight Risk for severe weather on Friday, new data has led the National Weather Service in Paducah to upgrade the eastern counties of southern Indiana and western Kentucky to an Enhanced Risk.

According to Eyewitness News meteorologist, Ron Rhodes, the upgrade applies to nearly every county east of Highway 41.

An Enhanced Risk means "numerous severe storms" are a good possibility with the main threats being a few tornadoes, damaging winds, and hail between one to two inches in diameter.
